Silicon Module is the first milestone for RITEK to enter solar industry RITEK is a global leading disc manufacturer for outstanding coating technology and mass production experience. With such core technologies, RITEK extends the product line to solar and is recognized by a top European solar module and system manufacturer with operations in Germany and The Netherlands, Scheuten. Besides the production of solar, Scheuten also has 50 years of experience as a fully integrated glass manufacturer. To form a joint alliance on silicon module business is the first step for both parties to have overall arrangement on solar market.
Scheuten is also a strategic shareholder of AimCore, an outstanding company for glass coating which spun-off from RITEK in 2007, due to AimCore's development of solar glass in the future. Such investment let Scheuten to have a chance understanding RITEK group's plan on solar industry and such plan is recognized by Scheuten. Scheuten is an important partner for RITEK to enter solar industry after the strategic alliance on silicon module production. The initial capacity will be 30MW and plan to deliver from 4Q this year. This creates an opportunity for Scheuten and RITEK to have further collaboration on other high end solar products in the near future.

Scheuten started actively researching solar energy in 2000 and has supplied products for the developing European solar market since 2003. Scheuten has implemented a number of high profile projects that have allowed the company to establish itself and become a major player in the German solar market. Scheuten has locations in Europe, USA, Middle East and Korea with around 1,500 staff. Scheuten's business scope includes solar cell, module and system and aims to operate across the whole quality spectrum, from the silicon to the energetic stage.
